By using repel force lightning, a force user may prevent himself from being harmed by the deadly effects of force lightning. Through extensive training and experience with dissipating other kinds of energy, a force user is able to reach a point where he is more able to cope with the damaging effects of corrupted force energy that exists in force lightning. Much like dissipate energy, the force user focuses through the force to deflect the harmful energy away from his body.
The user makes an opposed roll using this skill against the attacker's force lightning roll. As usual, if the force user fails, he takes damage as normal. If the user meets or beats the roll, the attacker's lightning is successfully deflected in a random direction away from the user. Lightning deflected in this manner will often seek the closest available source of grounding, such as the ground, access panels, power conduits, and so on. Should the force user be fortunate enough to beat his attacker's roll by 10 or more, the energy is simply dissipated entirely.
Users that possess exceptional skill of 6D or more in force lightning receive a +2D bonus to all attempts to repel it.
Users wielding a Lightsaber gain a +1D bonus to Repel Force Lightning, using the Lightsaber blade as a lightning rod for the deadly energies rather then their hands.
