Character Bio:
Mirran was born out of the relationship of a Jedi Knight and a Luka Sene. Her mother, Kitra, as a young child as most children are was taken to be trained within the Order. Kitra grew up learning all the disciplines and philosophies of the Order.

However, during her first assignment as a Jedi Knight, she was assigned to protect the Miralukan Ambassador, Minden Kai. The two found a deep connection with each other and felt that the Force had guided them to each other somehow. Kitra although tried to deny what she felt for him, in the end she felt and saw that her destiny lay with Minden Kai. So Kitra walked away from the Order and made a life back with her own people and with Minden Kai who she also found out was a Luka Sene Master. She learned that her people's ways and Force tradition were not as harsh as the Jedi Order. She embraced her people's tradition and married Minden Kai. She joined him as an ambassador as she felt the ways of the Jedi made her suited to that life.

A year later, Mirran Kai was born on Alpherdies and grew up with the love and devotion of her parents. Her parents taught her the ways of the Luka Sene and also to be mindful of the Force and to be aware of all that was around her. Yet, the darkness of the future lay ahead and Mirran's parents could see through the Force that a shadow of Bogan or the Dark Side was coming. They could feel it but knew not where it was coming from. Yet, they knew the galaxy as always goes through times of light and times of darkness and that this was the way of the Force.

Mirran grew up as a Luka Sene student taught by her father and learned Jedi skills from her mother. As the galaxy plunged into the Clone Wars, Mirran and her family strove very hard to help mitigate and traverse the shadows of Bogan. They knew that the age of darkness was coming but they did all they could to keep some sense of Ashla to shine through to bring a sense of balance. They tried to speak peace to those in the Republic and to those in the Separatists parties. Yet all seemed in vain as even the Jedi and the Republic went to war. It was during this time that Mirran, at the age of thirteen started having Force visions, she couldn't fully understand all of them. However, one vision stood out to her and it was one where she saw a man in shadows striking down her family. She told her family and her mother calmly explained that death happens to all and as much as it may hurt that death precipitates rebirth that from the death of summer to winter and eventually spring is born and then summer again. Mirran did not understand her words as she could not fathom how people could be like the seasons on a planet. Yet, when Mirran grew older and after the death of her parents, she began to comprehend that her parents had given birth and rise to her so that from her another season of life could come forward.

At the close of the war, and before the issue of Order 66, her parents and she were caught up in the hunt of Force-sensitives and they were caught in a trap laid by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine who invited Mirran and her family with the pretense of negotiating a peace between the Separatists and the Republic. Yet, to their horror, they found the meeting with the chancellor was a trap and Mirran watched in horror as she saw the chancellor ignite a lightsaber and attack her parents. Her mother and Mirran saw their father and husband die at the hands of the chancellor. Mirran was mortified, her Force vision was coming true. They managed to escape, the chancellor, but her mother told Mirran they had to get to the Jedi Temple to let the Jedi know that the chancellor was apparently a Dark Side Force User. Yet as they came to the Jedi Temple, they found a group of Jedi who apparently already knew that the Chancellor was a Sith and were going off to confront him. Kitra stated that she was going to help the Masters of the Jedi and Mirran said quietly. "No, he will kill you and my vision will come true." Her mother calmly told her sixteen-year-old daughter, that if that it was the Force's will that she die then it would be in service to the Force and the Force itself. She told her daughter to stay at the temple and if the Force willed it, she would return to her. As a promise of her return, she gave Mirran her lightsaber and said that it was a small piece of herself that would be with her always. As she had given up her lightsaber to her daughter, Kitra borrowed a yellow lightsaber from the lightsabers of the Temple guards saying it would be fitting to use the lightsaber of a Temple Jedi to go after the chancellor.

However, when Mirran felt her mother's death in the Force and Mirran knew she could not stay at the Jedi temple and despite the knights of the Order telling her, she should stay. Mirran said defiantly she was not a Jedi and she would never stay at a place that was not her home. She took off and ran off using her middle name Arren and the Force itself to evade any person trying to find her. Mirran has spent the present running from the Empire and trying to find anyone who would help her complete her training, either as a Jedi or a Luka Sene.

Personality: Mirran prefers to let others speak before she speaks and thinks carefully before she answers anyone. She is often quiet and reflective and tends to wait to see what happens before she commits to any action. She prefers speaking before action and peace before strength. Yet, if she feels threatened or disturbed in anyway she will not hesitate to act either for herself or for others. Once she makes up her mind on something, she is hard to persuade to another path or course of direction. For others, it is better to talk to her before she has come to a decision because once settled she in her mind good luck in persuading her to do so otherwise. Like many Miraluka, she sees the Force as the Force and that Light cannot exist without Dark and Dark cannot exist without Light. She believes in the Miraluka deities of Ashla and Bogan, which are actually the two distinct sides of the Force. She also has a quiet sadness about her that sometimes weighs her down. Yet other times she can be ebullient when she wants to be or when others change her focus to something more uplifting and cheerful.

  • Enhanced Sense (+3) Keen hearing (+1 to applicable Investigation rolls )
  • Magnanimous Appeal (+3): Due to being raised by parents who were diplomats. She retains her family's grace when it comes to compassion, mercy to others. (The character’s Renown and Persuasion increases by +1 )
  • Equipment (+4) Carries her mother's silver double-bladed lightsaber ( a hand-held item equal to or less, than DC of 20.)
  • Pacifist Conditioning (+4) Was raised by her mother and father to live life without violence ( +1D to Bargain and Persuasion rolls that call or diplomacy and negotiation where character lives are on the line. )
  • Moralizing Creed (+10) Firm unshakable beliefs about the Force and how it relates to the galaxy at large. ( Creed permits the character to spend up to 3 Character Points (non-refundable) during one action per game campaign, on any action that figures into the character’s self-identity as pertaining to their Moralizing Creed.)
  • Poverty (-1) Unconcerned about wealth or material needs, save what she needs at the moment. A place to sleep, and food to eat.
  • Cultural Unfamiliarity (-3) More comfortable among Miraluka, Luka Sene, or Jedi. She feels less comfortable among others, plus the fact that she lacks physical vision and is acutely aware that she is different among other species. (The character should constantly make mistakes and “social gaffs,” and all attempts at Streetwise or similar “getting around town” skills should have a minimum +6 to the difficulty )
  • Renegade (-4) Always on the run from any Sith, Imperials due to her Force sensitivity and her beliefs in the Force ( a negative reputation (-1) to Renown. Character rolls 1d100 in the presence of law enforcement authorities. Any roll below 33 fails, resulting in a confrontation with the authorities
  • Culture Shock: Mirran freezes in the midst of civic authorities (Police) She is worried that any police will harm her due to her past. ( take -2 to ALL interaction and reaction rolls until the condition is gone.) (-3)
  • Paranoid: Mirran has issues with trust, as her family *trusted* a certain Supreme Chancellor and in the end he killed her parents. So Mirran has issues trusting anyone and everyone. ( They receive a +6 to any bonus number when trying to resist being Conned, but also receives this “bonus” when trying to be persuaded — and they must be persuaded via an opposed roll - before they'll help even their closest friends. “Everyone is out to get them.”) (-2)
  • Brash (-10) Once committed to something she will commit to an action despite the fact that it may be detrimental to her. (They forfeit the second action they would automatically spend during a round - meaning, they only GET ONE ACTION PER ROUND. (They may NOT take another action during the round with the regular MA penalty. They may however, consider taking ADV skills, such as Flurry and Rapid Shot to negate the lost action effect of this trait.) The character gains +1D to all Strength-based skills and 1 Dexterity skill of choice, plus Willpower rolls – but takes a blanket -1D penalty to all other skills & attributes.)
  • Naivety (-3) Believes that there is goodness in everyone, including the darkest of individuals. (The player takes a -1D penalty when making a Willpower roll to resist influence attempts such as Persuasion, Con, Bargain, Command, Affect Mind or Control Mind. The character also takes a -1D penalty when attempting to make a Streetwise role )
  • Prejudice (-2) She is a rarity among a lot of the species of the galaxy and people don't often see Miralukas. She is uncertain how people will treat her as she recognizes she is a minority among many of the other species. ( character receives modifiers to the difficulties (from +2 to +4) during normal interaction with characters not of the minority group, and is generally treated unfairly by society. The group the character belongs to, or the reason they are discriminated against, should be identified immediately, and the player should know how they can expect to be treated in most cases )

This sheet is shaping up very nicely! First observation I have - is the distribution of 24D across your attributes - yours add up to 20D. This leaves you with 4D that you can still use across these 6 attributes. If I may make suggestions, it would be to do the following:

1. Bump DEXTERITY to 4D, as most lightsaber users require decent dexterity to wield a lightsaber in a competent and efficient manner.
2. Bump STRENGTH to 3D, so the character does not run out of stamina or drowns because a low roll prevents them from staying afloat, etc.
3. Take PERCEPTION to 6D, as it is your strongest racial Attribute and you will have to rely on it far more than other characters who have use of their sight.
4. Finally, take MECHANICAL to 3D, so your character is able to operate basic vehicles like a speeder, or if need be - a starfighter.

Each of these 4 attributes would be increased by 1D, and thus making the total 24D. But again, those are only suggestions - so feel free to distribute those 4D however you think they would best suit your character. :D

But I was under the impression that my racial minimum was 2D and my max was 4D

Plus my perception can only be up to 5D as the racial maximum so perception can't be 6D.

But I will take a look at the other attributes and tweak those.

No Attribute may start at more than +1D over the species maximum for that character.

Okay...was just going by what was in the species posting for Miraluka's. But I tweaked them all and went 6D on Perception since that is the strongest trait due to the character's racial background. I believe they now all add up to 24. Plus realized I had room for additional attributes as well.

The Force attributes get their separate set of stats, so it's all good. :cool:

Something to think about is the low TECH you have opted for... While technical ability (to repair or build things) is not often crucial to a Force sensitive, it -is- vital for one ability and that is the Lightsaber creation (ADV. Lightsaber Repair skill). With a very low tech, you will have trouble making one. And your starting lightsaber will start off with a damage stat of 4D.

If you are satisfied with that number, great - you don't need to do anything. But if you want to build a lightstaff toting Jedi - I would suggest swapping the last two stats, and giving your TECH a 4D start.

Alright @Mirran Kai - feel free to check your sheet. Everything you see in ITALICS has been added by the SGM. Additional Bonus Dice were also applied by the SGM. If you feel like you want to change anything - let me know - these are SUGGESTIONS ONLY. Ok, so the only thing remaining to finalize your sheet, is a handful of rolls which are done in the presence of a Game Master. They are as follows:
  1. HP (Health/Hit Points) - established by rolling Mirran's current STRENGTH (3D)
  2. INIT (Initiative, determines order of battle) - established by rolling Mirran's current PERCEPTION (6D)
  3. Midichlorian Count - rolled by the GM in the player's presence, or vice-versa

...Shouldn't she have Scholar: Luka Sene Lore? (Might want to pick that up at some point, especially with that being integral to her background ;) )
