Just a couple of things - the past 24 hrs have been busy so I couldn't get this out till today, but better late than never.
The chat settings have been updated in the back end, to save all files (aka, all messages in rooms) for up to 48 months. The default was 2 or 4 weeks, clicked through it too fast to recall - but the bottom line is, it ended up running a cron job (I still have no idea what that means, btw), and pruning all the files sometime in the AM of this past Friday (yesterday).
Either way, this shouldn't happen anymore, unless manually reset. The auto-pruning function is set to preserve the database from needless clutter, but as GMs we appreciate having our previous sessions there for looking things up, if needed. Since our last chat copy on the old site, I did not have much of a chance to go through all the default settings - but has now been corrected.
Second, there is another upgrade planned by StableHost for the server we are hosted on. It is scheduled to take place June 1st from 12:00AM to 4:00AM MST. Their datacenter will be upgrading the network stack in the cabinets our server is connected to. During this time, we will have intermittent connectivity to our website.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and invite you to come to the Discord chat if the site is unavailable for longer than predicted.
