San Paulo Gold Mine

The San Paulo Gold Mine was opened near the end of the California Gold Rush. Never truly reaching its potential, it was closed in the early 1900's before being turned into a tourist attraction after World War I. It was closed again during the Great Depression and has been closed ever since. Some say it is haunted by the miners that lost their lives in a cave-in, but no cave-ins were ever recorded. In truth, it has been rumored to be one of the hidden meeting spots for the Maledictus, although no one has ever lived to confirm it.
