Summary of Events:

The Crimson Lights was experiencing a rather slow night, with Corvus taking care of his new 'charge', a young Chiss named Cassius. The Chiss had been found by Suavee in his cargo hold, when the Corellian captain was disembarking on Nar Shadda after making an unsavory, long trip to the Unknown Regions. The young man seemed to possess some uncanny 'persuasive' abilities so without giving it much thought, Suavee dumped him on Dalen's doorstep and asked the Jedi master to look after the lad. Reluctant, Corvus agreed - but did not put much stock in Suavee's opinion the Chiss was in any way 'unusual', apart from his rather exotic appearance.

As Corvus engaged his 'guest' in conversation, Marius Shae arrived at the bar. Shortly after, he was to be followed by a sturdy looking fellow (Matthias Jayne). A melancholy Marius confided in Corvus that he has recently been having nightmarish dreams, featuring Serena Elysar. The whole experience left the young Jedi Knight even more sullen and distraught, leaving Corvus to attempt and make him feel better. Failing that, Corvus and Marius began a conversation about the Chiss, with the stranger (Jayne) listening with seemingly mild interest. But when Marius reached out with the Force toward Cassius - to sate his curiosity - he found, to his great surprise, that the blue alien harbored a distinct Force aura. This in turn, made him want to discuss his findings in public - a subject that Corvus was unwilling to pursue with a stranger (Jayne) present.

Then, at one point - the Jedi noticed Matthias loosening the flap on his holster - and he decided to react before something even more unsavory happened. Coming around and behind the man, he attempted to punch Matthias in the temple and thus knock him to the ground - but Jayne managed to dodge the move, his reflexes surprising the Jedi master. Not really wanting to harm the man, Corvus then opted to use the Jedi Mind Trick on Jayne - this time with a much greater success. Managing to convince Jayne that he heard nothing of their conversations during the course of the evening, Dalen 'convinced' the man to leave peacefully, remembering only the delectable drinks he enjoyed that night at the Lights.

After the stranger left, Corvus and Marius took Cassius to the back of the bar, presumably to continue their earlier conversation ...

Summary of Events:

After Cassus was put to sleep in the guest room (which Corvus had locked from the outside to prevent the young Chiss from slipping away), the two Jedi went back to the main counter to relax. Marius was getting thoroughly sloshed at that point, much to the chagrin of his older companion - when Lana Star walked in and came to socialize with the group. On her heels came Matthias Jayne, who remembered he'd left his helmet at the Crimson Lights (even if he could not remember how or why he went there in the first place.) Trying to play it cool this time, Corvus attempted to socialize with Jayne, seeing if he could learn anything more about the man. It turned out (in the course of their conversation) that Matthias claimed to be a soldier in the Grand Army of the Republic. Not convinced by the man's mere admission which he considered a wild boast, Corvus asked to see a personal effect Jayne had that would collaborate his story. When a pair of dog tags and the Force came together, Corvus had ample proof that the man was telling the truth. Encouraged by this, the group unofficially accepted Matthias Jayne into their company, feeling that he could be trusted after all.

The group toasted to the old times and absent friends, at which point Marius resumed his heavy drinking. Lana departed after a while to get some sleep - but not before saying hello to another old friend who had just walked in - and a fellow Jedi, Radiant Tide. Brooding and sullen, Tide immediately went over to the group, eager to talk to Marius who confided in him about having trouble sleeping (as he had previously told Corvus and Lana). The two exchanged observations and feelings on this and other subjects, at which point Corvus suggested that he was tired of sitting guard over Serena's possessions stowed safely in the Crimson Lights' vault. He suggested the group should consider leaving Nar Shaddaa and finding a better place to finally start living their lives. Radiant Tide did not approve of the idea, but the rest of the group seemed to be intrigued by the notion - if it weren't for one small detail - they no longer had a ship that could carry them anywhere they wished to go.

At that point, Corvus suggested that Tide get in touch with his old 'friend', Muriel Y'ar - but Tide refused. Reluctant and drunk, Marius picked up Tide's comlink and dialed Muriel's frequency. After a brief (but comical) exchange, it was decided that Muriel would get the survivors of Agomar off planet, IF ... they paid her 50 kilos of glitterstim and a dinner with Radiant Tide. Disgusted that he had been roped into yet another deal he wanted nothing to do with, Tide left the group and went outside, contemplating the insanity that (he was convinced) was about to ensue. Calling upon the Force, he heard Serena's voice which further creeped him out as he continued walking. Meanwhile, the group decided they would give the new plan a try (they would take Cassus along with and extend an invitation to Jayne too, if he felt so inclined).

They had 48 hours to get everything in order ...

NOTE:

There was a side scene going on where Junie wandered in (having just missed her master, Lana - by an hour or so), even though Lana could not sense her presence on the planet earlier while attempting to do so, in the club. As she was accosted by a thug, Junie got spat on and reacted by pulling down the jerk's pants and breaking his nose. As a result of all this 'commotion' she also made a friend in a fearsome-looking Barabel, named Runk. (Runk has yet to make the acquaintance of the rest of the group.)

Third session - 2 CP awarded as follows:

  • Alonzo (GM)
  • Corvus NPC - Callista
  • Matthias Jayne
  • Lana Star
Sheets will be updated as per usual (within 48 hrs or less).

Summary of Events:

Corvus made the indirect acquaintance of Runk, whose appetite seems to surpass that of anyone has ever met. Lana made friends with the Barabel as well, although she seemed to have better luck in getting to know the alien. Matt and Corvus enjoyed an awkward moment when the old Jedi master's bowels seemed to make a scene ...
