Character Bio:
21-3 BBY SYNOPSIS
  • 21 BBY - I was born in the city of Nabat on Ryloth (cute as a button)
  • 19 BBY - war ends
  • 9 BBY - parents hand me to an archaeologist who promises to keep me safe
  • 9-6 BBY - I journey through the unknown regions, Rakata space, to the Albion Cluster, helping archaeologists by being their sneaky little cute thief.
  • 6 BBY - Some unknown group kills my archaeologist friends. Only I escape. The head archaeologist's dying act was to hand me a Memento of Great Importance (MGI) and tell me to keep it safe. I don't know what it does, but I protect it.
  • 6-4 BBY - A hellish cycle. Thieving kept me fed and clothed until men captured me and did things to me. I escaped and thieved until I was comfortable again. Then I got captured...
  • 4 BBY - A purple woman with a red sword (Sulia) assassinates someone who's been hunting me. She inspires my new hobby.
  • 4-3 BBY - Captured less often. Learned to torture men who do things to girls. Enjoy freeing slaves and killing slavers in horrible ways.
21 BBY - Born on Ryloth
I was born on my species' homeworld, cute as a button, to two loving parents. Both lived with a caring master who treated us well. He owned a business that made and sold musical instruments. Papa helped him do that and Mama was the saleswoman who negotiated good deals. I was adorable and provided moral support with my cuteness. We shall not discuss the crying and diapers.

My full name is Siasotaiah'veceta and it means "periwinkle kitty."

19 BBY - War ends.
My family stayed with their former owner, the shopkeeper. He was like family to us. Why would we leave?

21-9 BBY - Grew Up To 12yo on Ryloth
I helped the family business, repairing instruments and making deals. My specialties were wind instruments and wealthy child customers.

Outside of the business, I was a troublemaker. Stealing here and there, from rich aliens in spaceports. This ended for a while, the first time a man captured me and did things to me. I learned to brawl after that and stole my first blaster. After that, men who tried things were left with scars in uncomfortable places. I got caught less and less as my sneaky thieving skills improved.

9-6 BBY Archaeology: the Happiest Time of my Life
People started kidnapping and enslaving Twi'leks. The shop owner got word that some officers with a machine might find me. He negotiated with a team of archaeologists to take me in. The were to travel west beyond known systems to explore civilizations out there, dig up old stuff, and study it.

Archaeologists are career thieves who study their haul, and I was a valuable addition to the team. I could sneak in to places with my innocent-looking face, steal things, or plant surveillance equipment, and get out unscathed. None of them ever tried to do things to me, and they protected me in spaceports, just like the shopkeeper said they would.

My brain was as valuable to them as my naughtiness. I had a knack for languages and quickly learned the basics of any new language they showed me. My intense interest in the subject filled my mind quickly with all manner of archaeology knowledge.

6 BBY Massacre and the Memento of Great Importance (MGI)
Alas, this bliss was not to last. Somebody who didn't like the archaeologists slaughtered our entire crew; only I escaped. My survival was due to hiding in a cubbyhole outside the ship by order of the head archaeologist.

The head archaeologist's dying wish was for me to protect an artifact. "Keep it safe. Don't allow it to fall into the wrong hands." Perhaps this was simply to convince me to shut up and stay in the cubbyhole.

It's a ocarina music box of sorts; what else it does, I have no idea. When I press a button, sounds come through its holes, lights flash, and symbols fly by. I like to dance to it. The valves sometimes need adjusting and cleaning or they're off key. Luckily, I know how to fix wind instruments.

My MGI has been my loyal companion through the hardest of times, but it does cause me a lot of trouble.

6-4 BBY The Hellish Years
I'm stuck on an unknown planet way out in the middle of nowhere. Thieving is the only way I can stay alive. Often, men capture me and do things to me. Sometimes they enslave me and it takes days to escape.

Frequently, when men do things to me, they take the MGI. Sometimes it takes weeks to get the MGI back, and I often find it in the shop of a merchant or in a wealthy kid's bedroom. I try not to kill innocent people along the way, but it happens.

4 BBY Inspiration
A group of men were stalking me for a few weeks and eventually found me alone in an alley. They had expensive-looking equipment and weapons, and resembled the men who killed the archaeology team. I knew these men didn't want to have fun with me. They had something else in mind, and I didn't want to find out what it was. I ran and fought and kicked and screamed, but it was no good.

When I was pinned down, my hero rescued me. A purple lady with a red sword carved the men up and whispered to them while they slowly died. I watched for a few minutes before my good sense got the better of me and I fled.

She inspired my new passion: torturing and killing men who do things to girls, especially slavers.

4-3 BBY Justice Years
I steal, intimidate slavers, free slaves, and take vengeance upon men who do things to girls. It's a lot of fun.

Sometimes I'm cornered by too many thugs, or I'm caught stealing. Men will have their fun with me for a while and I can't stop them. The whole time, I'm thinking about what I'll do to them. Sometimes I keep them alive for hours before mercy sets in. Once, I kept a man alive for three days after freeing his slave girls. Maybe I take things too far, but somebody has to make them pay.

Dear Departed Friend Neeeeeritiboop

I'll miss all the archaeologists, but who I'll miss the most is my friend Neeeeeritiboop. I met him shortly after I first boarded the ship. Wherever I am, wandering strange tunnels is habitual. The ship had many crawlable spaces: air ducts, service tunnels, climbable shafts. I traversed them all.

During one of my meanderings, I came upon an excellent spot for reading, somewhere deep in the bowels of the ship. There, a hovering droid approached me and yelled "neeeeritiboop" repeatedly until I moved; then it cleaned the surface I was sitting on. This became a greeting ritual for us. Over the next few years, we cultivated a friendship and I learned his language. It took a few months for me to learn that "neeeeeritiboop" means "butt-stain."

Neeeeeritiboop satisfied my endless curiosity about devices by teaching me to use the computers and communicators. Sometimes I helped him with minor computer repair work. I wouldn't want to attempt it without him; my skills are quite primitive. Perhaps I'll have a chance to learn more about gadgets later in life.

The Memento of Great Importance (MGI)

We found this on a dig in Rakata ruins. It is an automatic ocarina; the holes have valves, or an air pump operated by a computer embedded in the handle. Several buttons on the handle control the computer. It is extremely durable; shortly before I first received it, it was next to an exploding grenade, but emerged undamaged.

When it is switched on, a holographic emitter shows symbols and the ocarina plays music. Buttons on the handle change the song or remix it in various ways. Music varies wildly in genres, and it is all quite danceable. In my spare time, I often take it out and dance to it while writing in my diary. Symbols flow in the holographic projection while the music runs. The symbols are similar to ones found on Rakata ruins and they appear linguistic. Without a reference, I've found it impossible to translate them.

Sometimes I see what looks like a countdown; when that happens, I switch the music. Out of morose curiosity, I've observed the countdowns before. They vary in timespan anywhere from hours to perhaps decades. What happens when they hit zero, I don't know, and I fear I would regret knowing.

When I arrived on this planet, I had beautiful headpiece with a durable black gem on it. Once I had spare time and money, I paid a jeweler to carve a form-fitting orifice in the gem. The ocarina fits perfectly, and I always know it is there because I can feel it pressing gingerly on my forehead.

Personality:
  • Fascinated by anything ancient: languages, places, people, trinkets, whatever. The older, the better. Obsessed with acquiring knowledge about anything old I find.
  • Protective of my Memento of Great Importance (MGI). Was told to keep it safe. Have gone to great lengths to do so. More than a few people have died this way; some were misunderstandings.
  • Extremely fond of stealing things, but wise enough not to do so until I have a good chance to succeed. Don't understand why this is immoral.
  • Will not steal anything of great emotional value (like my MGI), or critical to the owner's life or safety. Will attempt to return such items if I stole them or if I saw someone else take them, whether they did so by force, theft, accident, or by coercion. May kill to return items.
  • Rarely caught stealing; I'm caught for my good looks. Men have done things to me many times. I should be used to it, but it terrifies me every time.
  • A strange purple woman with a red sword inspired me to torture and kill men who do things to girls, especially slavers.
  • I miss mama and papa. Wonder how they're doing. May go batshit crazy if they died in a horrible way.
  • Opposed to murder on philosophical grounds. Feel no guilt over my own murders and will rationally justify them (often poorly)
  • Perpetually obstinate except when terrified (but see next item).
  • Fiercely loyal to allies, including temporary ones, which is usually the best I get. Will go to great lengths to help them. Expect the same in return, but accustomed to not receiving it.
  • My conflicting personality traits cause me stressful moral quandaries.
  • Habitually meditate to retain sanity.
